I love the history and the love story this holds A girl of a confederate soldier falls in love with a union soldier who invades her home I simply love this story.
This story takes place during the Civil War involving Angelina Stone who is a southern girl from Georgia whose home is taken over by Yankee officers The story takes off from the first pages in the midst of conflict and we follow Angelina to the last page as the story of love, honor and betrayal is told to us A good book to escape from our modern world.

Well written Enjoyed Am interested in of books This was definitely different from other civil war reads This book was very good It was a much differently written read than other civil war books I would definitely read by this author.
I m kind of torn on this one I really liked the setting and characters Elijah rescues Angelina from an attack, while not a lot of detail is given it s clear what happens, or almost happens I don t like those story lines so it made me like the book a lot less Besides that, I really enjoyed the story and also the side story of Bonnie.
I really liked it A good Civil War story where people fall in love with their enemies and kindness crosses over battle lines I liked the unexpected plot twists and characters and a wonderful ending
